Who am I?

For 25 years, I built a demanding career in the manufacturing industry, rising to management positions. An engineer by training, father of 3 children, a dedicated athlete... on paper, everything was there.

And yet!

After leaving my last job as Technical Director in the industry in July 2025, and a period spent trying to identify a career change, I was able to take part in the APEC (Association for the Employment of Executives) “Nouveaux Horizons” program in May 2026. A program designed to help job seekers regain confidence and breathe new life into their professional plans. Something happened then. A sudden revelation. The confirmation, after years of quietly accumulating doubts, that I no longer wanted to go back to where I had always been.

Cycling, an already deep-rooted practice!

It’s not a sudden taste for adventure that drives this project, but a practice I’ve carried for twenty years.

Over the course of various trips, it wasn’t just endurance that I experienced. It was above all something else: that capacity for introspection unique to cycling, that form of freedom that only self-powered movement, with no intermediary, allows you to feel fully, the many possibilities for meeting and sharing with others. Every kilometer covered alone confirmed what I already sensed; that a bicycle isn’t just a way to get from one point to another, but a space where you come face to face with yourself.

It’s this conviction, tested on the roads of Corsica and Europe, that now drives this crossing of South America during this life transition I’m currently living through.
